Privacy policy

Last updated 16 October 2026

This page explains what Scout records when you visit our website, and when you open a link we sent you. It does not cover the Scout app, where a customer’s own candidates and CVs are, or the collector extension, which has its own privacy policy.

Analytics on this website

If you accept the cookie banner, we use PostHog to see how visitors use the site. We record which pages you view, what you click, how far you scroll and how long you spend on each part of the page. We also record your session: a replay of how the page was used, in which everything typed into a form field is hidden.

PostHog is hosted in the EU, and the data is sent to it through our own domain. Nothing is recorded, and no analytics cookie is set, unless you accept. If you decline, or ignore the banner, nothing is.

You can change your mind at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the page. Saying no after you said yes stops the recording and deletes what PostHog stored in your browser.

We do not send what you type in the request-access form to analytics. We only note that a form was sent.

Links we send you

When we write to you personally, the link in our message may carry a short code that is yours alone. If you arrived through one, we record that it was opened, when, which kind of browser opened it and which country it was opened from. If you have accepted analytics, we also link your visit on the site to that code, so we know which message it came from.

We do this to follow up on our own outreach, and our legal basis is our legitimate interest in knowing whether the people we write to find it useful. You can object at any time, and we will stop and delete the record: write to us at the address below.

Requesting access

If you fill in the request-access form, we use your name, work email, company, job title and message to reply to you, and for nothing else. They are kept in our sign-ups, not in analytics.

How long we keep it

We keep analytics data and visit records for as long as we need them to understand the site and our outreach, and delete or anonymise them after that. We review what we hold from time to time.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, to correct or delete it, and to stop using it. If you think we have handled your data wrongly, you can complain to your national data protection authority.

Write to contact@scoutnext.io. If you came through a link we sent you, say so, and we will find the record.
